One spot that gets overlooked by many is the Columbia Basin, near Vantage in Eastern Washington. When you visit this part of Eastern Washington, make sure you get out and explore the surrounding area too. If you love history, you can visit the Grant County Historical Museum and Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park, if you want to spend time on the water, head on up to Crescent Bar or over to Potholes State Park. Wanapum Dam and Priest Rapids Dam are located just downstream from where you’ll be staying and seeing these two hydroelectric dams up close can be of real interest too. Another alternative energy attraction is located near you too as you’ll only be a short drive away from Wild Horse Wind Farm. If you like hiking and want to explore that Eastern Washington landscape up close then head north to Ancient Lakes and follow some trails into a couple of small canyons that feature a number of small lakes. There are also plenty of small towns to explore too, where you’ll find shopping opportunities and locally owned eating establishments, like Kittitas, Vantage, George, Quincy, Ephrata, and Moses Lake.

With all that there is to do and see in this part of Washington State, you’ll have no problem filling up your time the exact amount you want. And at the beginning and end of the day you’ll have the pleasant experience of calling your little first class Vacation Paradise in Sunland Estates home for at least a few days.
